Jim and I worked with Roberta at GMS near the end of her teaching career. Both students and staff recognized what a fabulous teacher she was. She was also so much fun! She had this infectious laugh and we all adored her. Jim and I both saw her as mentor and are grateful for all that she did to support we green teachers. She spoke often of Fred, George and Rebecca and was so proud of her family!
Several years ago, Jim secretly commissioned Roberta to create a huge vintage Saint Nicholas for my gift. It is a masterpiece! We treasure it and think of her each Christmas when we look at it! Roberta was like that, excellent at all she did. We feel so grateful to have called her friend. George, Rebecca and families, we are so very sorry for your loss.
Rest in peace Roberta and say hello to Fred for us!

Roberta was a good friend who I got to know better in more recent years. We bonded over our shared careers in education and enjoyed many lively discussions about politics. Roberta was a keen observer of life and great storyteller with a sharp sense of humour. My deepest sympathies to you, Rebecca and George, and your families. She was so proud of each of you. She will be missed.

I was one of the lucky Sir Winston students who got to experience Mrs Dupont's grade 9 math class (1980/81). She was an amazing teacher and a class act. My thoughts are with your families.

My sincere condolences, Rebecca, George and family. Roberta and I have been good friends since 1969, sharing life's trials and laughter, oh the laughter, over the years. She adored her grandchildren, Matthew, Danielle, Kate and Jake, and included them in one of her published children’s books. Roberta was a woman of many talents and generous to a fault. I will miss you, dear friend. The world will be less colourful without you.

Hello.
My name is Alice Smeathers and I was a good friend of Roberta's here at Crystal View Lodge. She would go down to the dining room early and I did also. We would sit and chat about a lot of things, including our teaching careers and families. She sat at my table for dinner on that last sad Friday, and then went with me to the Pub night in the Atrium, when she received the call that you were at her door. She was very well liked here and we were shocked to learn of her sudden passing. I am the honoured recipient of a framed print, her big book and a smaller one. She refused payment and said it was because of our special friendship. Yes, she did touch many lives in a very positive way, including here. Many of us here, including me, will truly miss Roberta! We will treasure our wonderful memories. Bless you all.

My sincerest condolences to you, Rebecca, George and your families. Your mom was a lovely lady and I was fortunate to have known her as one of the “ hockey moms” before she became my math teacher at SWC. I was also lucky to have met up with her a few years ago and we had a nice time catching up. Thinking of you.

Roberta was a warm, welcoming and generous next door neighbour for more than fifty years and 3 generations, spanning my parents Russ & Helen Moses, my brother Jim & I, and now my wife Denise Corbett and daughter Quinn, to whom Roberta was like a second grandma. We will miss her. Our thoughts are with George and Rebecca and their families.

To the Dupont Family . . .may the many wonderful memories you cherish as a family, bring you comfort in the days to come. Please be assured of my prayers, as you mourn the death of your Mother, but as I sang at my own Mother's funeral 'Life Has Changed Not Ended', for they are always with us and in their own way continue to guide us. With sympathy, prayers and understanding.
