Joan had a wealth of other lifetime friends she remained in contact with from childhood, high school in Alexandria, Ontario, nursing school days in Cornwall, Ontario, graduating in 1959, many wonderful colleagues & long-time friends she met when she changed from nursing to become a highly-valued social worker with the City of Ottawa.

Joan benevolently chose to donate her body to science with the University of Ottawa.
