Obituary of Sandra Claire Laughren

Sandra passed away at Granite Ridge Care Community on December 28, 2024. Born as Evelyn Beverly Easton, Sandra was adopted and renamed in 1949 and raised by the late Bryan S. and Hilda A. Drader (nee Charlton) in Carleton Place, Ontario. Beloved wife and best friend of Edward J. Laughren for 63 years. Devoted mother of Christina Laughren (Patrick Yates) of Waterloo and Michael (Mick) Laughren of Ottawa. Cherished grandmother to William Yates and Matthew Yates. Sandra will be missed by dear friends in Ottawa and around the world, especially those in Australia, Sweden, Malaysia, California, and Arizona. A private family service will take place at Pinecrest Cemetery, where family will dance to ABBA, eat ice cream, and remember the kind-hearted, sincere, and joyful person that Sandra was before the ravages of Alzheimer's disease.
