Obituary of Alwanda Haines

Alwanda ‘Wanda’ Joyce Lucile Haines, at 85 years of age, passed away peacefully the morning of Thursday, December 5, 2024, with the love of her family surrounding her. 

Wanda will be sadly missed by her surviving family; brother Ronald Haines (Carole Viau); nieces Kelly (Nick) and Kristine (Frank) and nephew Robert (Maggie) along with her great nieces Micayla and Olivia and her great nephews Andrew, and Ethan.

Born on October 12, 1939, in Ottawa, Ontario, Wanda’s life was marked by a long career with the Canadian Bank Note Company and a devotion to care for her family.

She will be reunited with those she loved; her beloved late parents Lucille and Albert, her late sister Shirley, her late aunt Vivian and beloved pets Sasha and Bonnie. 

A special thank you to the staff at Gary J Armstrong and her sister-in-law Carole for their unwavering care and compassion. 

A private service with family and friends will be held in the Spring. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Ottawa.
