Lynne Capes

Obituary of Lynne Capes

Lynne Capes of Ottawa
May 23, 1952 - October 26, 2024

It is with deep sadness that Lynne's family announces her passing at the age of 72.   Predeceased by her parents Howard Capes, and Lucille Capes (nee Gregoire) Loving mother to Charlynne Emmanuel (Flo) and Casey Forth (Jonathon).  Cherished Grama to five grandchildren, Alysia & Jenessa Emmanuel, and Kyleigh, Sierra & Jaedon Forth. She will be greatly missed by her sister, Nancy Capes, brother Alan Capes (Anne) and her best friend Karen Barrey. Mom also had a dog, Oli, who will miss her dearly.

Mom had a great sense of humour and always offered her help to others, as her kindness was integral to her being.  Her love for her grandchildren was endless, and she took immense pride in each of them. She was grateful for her sons-in-law, who always offered their help without hesitation whenever she needed anything. She cherished any time spent with her family and friends.

In accordance with her wishes, Lynne was cremated and there will be no formal burial service.

Friends and family are invited to join us in honouring Lynne during visitation on Wednesday, November 27th, 2024, from 1-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Pinecrest Remembrance Services 2500 Baseline Rd, Ottawa, ON K2C 3H9.

A Memorial Service will be held the following day on November 28th, at 11am, also at Pinecrest, where we will gather to celebrate her life and say our final farewells.  All are welcome to attend.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute would be appreciated.
