Obituary of Sheila Mary Greene

It is with great sadness that the family of Sheila Mary Greene announces her peaceful passing surrounded by family at the Montfort Hospital in Ottawa, ON, aged 79.

Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her husband, John of Ottawa; sons Paul (Susan) and Brian (Esther) of Ottawa; siblings John (Diane) Houlahan of Happy Valley Goose Bay, NL, Betty (Bob) Osmond of Sylvan Lake, AB, and Patricia (Glen) Edwards of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL; grandsons Ethan, Justin and Liam; as well as a large number of relatives and friends in Grand Falls and St. John’s, NL.

Sheila is predeceased by her brother Fr. William J. Houlahan and parents, William T. and Rita P. Houlahan.

Sheila was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, teacher, and friend to all those who knew her.   She will be forever missed.

A special thank you to the doctors and nurses at the Montfort Hospital for their compassionate care in Sheila’s final days.

A private gathering will take place Monday, October 7, 2024 with interment to follow at the Pinecrest Cemetery in Ottawa, ON.

As expressions of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the Parkinson's Society.
