Obituary of Donna Hall

It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our mother, Donna Frances Hall, R.N. (nee Caves) on September 23, in her 85th year.

An outspoken advocate for women’s rights, she leaves a long legacy of helping women in the community. Her kindness and generosity touched the lives of many, and she will be deeply missed.

She will be fondly remembered for her love of bridge, knitting, politics, and shopping.

She will be dearly missed by her son, Geoffrey (Daniel), Vancouver, BC, and daughter, Leslee Anne, New Glasgow, NS; grandsons Adam Hiebert, Sydney, AU, and Ryan Hiebert, London, ON; sister Devon Sliwka (Jim), Ottawa, ON; nephews Chris Sliwka (Shauna), Ottawa, ON, and John Caves, London, ON. She was predeceased by her brother David (Joan) of London, ON.

A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday October 1 between 2pm and 4pm at Pinecrest Memorial Centre (2500 Baseline Road).

In keeping with her wishes, a private interment at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Kemptville, ON, will follow on October 2.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ottawa Humane Society will be gratefully accepted.
