Obituary of Kyle Patrick Tapp
It is with extreme sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Kyle Tapp on September 21st at the age of 27. He radiated kindness and strength, always lifting others with his presence, and will be missed by all.
Kyle was born in Ottawa on October 3rd 1996, to his two loving parents, Dulce and Larry Tapp. Kyle was a very happy child during his childhood, and his jovial and warm disposition was always apparent to his family, schoolmates, and friends. A highly active child, Kyle played softball and hockey extensively.
Always highly regarded by his peers and teachers, Kyle was known as a playful, friendly, and humorous person. He graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 2014, having been a devoted part of the school’s baseball team. Impressively, Kyle also achieved a black belt in jiu jitsu by the age of 18, and was a competitive skier enjoying several memorable ski trips with his parents.
Immediately following highschool, Kyle went on to complete a Bachelor of Science with High Distinction from Carleton University, and graduated in June 2018. His academic career continued with his Master of Science in Biology from Carleton University, where he graduated in February 2021. Kyle was regarded as a highly esteemed alumni, with his supervisors both at school and at work noting his important research contributions in food science.
Kyle’s sudden departure has left an unfillable void in the lives of his mother Dulce and father Larry, as well as his fur brother Nuget. Forever remembered by Uncle Dan and Aunt Linda (André), his cousins Bron and Renée Diedrich, his aunt Patty Ramirez, uncle Marc Dubois, cousins Sophie and Jason Dubois, his sweetheart Sammy, many friends and colleagues.
He is predeceased by his grandparents Wayne and Marianne Tapp as well as Dulce Maria Morgado and Cesar Ramirez.
May Kyle rest in peace and may his memory serve as a tribute to the love and brilliance that left us too soon.
