Obituary of Evelyn Anne Burwash
Evelyn Anne Burwash (nee Arthurs), predeceased by her husband, Clayton Burwash and her son, Glenn Burwash, passed away peacefully at the age of 96 at the Ottawa Civic Hospital.
Evelyn was born March 18, 1928 in Avoca, Quebec. She was a longtime resident of the City of Ottawa.
She is survived by her three children, daughter Lynne Smith (Thomas), two sons Darryl Burwash and Bryne Burwash, six grandchildren, Ryan Smith (Linda), Morgan Smith (Christine), Casey Smith (Jennifer), Mavrick Burwash, Lindsay Burwash (Jeffrey), Megan Burwash and eight great grandchildren and other loving relatives.
Mourning her loss is her sister Fern Purdy and her brother Everett Arthurs.
Evelyn worked for the Department of Health and Welfare for many years until her retirement in January of 1984. For twelve years, Evelyn drove for the Cancer Society. She loved to garden in her spare time and was an active member of McPhail Memorial Baptist Church.
She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Friends are invited to a vistation at the Pincrest Remembrance Chapel, 2500 Baseline Road, on Wednesday, September 18 from 1-3pm
