I am so sorry to hear of Bill's passing, which I read about in the condominium's October newsletter. My late husband, Paul Mrstik, served for some years on Woodlea's board of directors with Bill. During that time they worked so well together and even after Paul retired from the board he and Bill would sometimes get together for lunch and a gab fest. It was always a pleasure to speak with him. What I remember best about Bill was how kind he was. Please accept my sincerest condolences.

Bill Johnson was a remarkable man.
Saying goodbye is never easy, and it is particularly challenging when it comes to someone as quietly extraordinary as Bill.
Bill was not a large man in stature, but immense in spirit. His presence was subtle, his voice soft, but his heart was undeniably large, filled with kindness and generosity. Though he never sought the spotlight, his actions spoke volumes. He had a way of quietly showing up in the most crucial moments, a true friend to everyone who needed him, especially his family. Whether it was a simple gesture or a grand act of support, Bill was there—always willing to lend a helping hand, to offer comfort, or to share laughter.
His life may not have been one of grand tales or public acclaim…..But it was a story woven with profound significance. It wasn’t told with grandiose narratives, but rather through everyday acts of love and unwavering support. Bill's life was not written in headlines or bestsellers…..But it was lived with integrity and sincerity.
In his own quiet way, Bill orchestrated a song of friendship and love that resonated deeply with everyone fortunate enough to know him. His laughter, his warmth, and his gentle nature created a melody that will linger in our hearts. The friendship he offered was a treasured gift, and the love he shared was a light that guided many through their dark times.
Bill’s memory is a precious treasure I know we will carry with us. His spirit lives on in our hearts, in our shared stories, and in the joy and love that he inspired in those around him. His influence continues to echo, reminding us of the enduring power of friendship and love.
….Saying goodbye to Bill is hard…..But we should remember that his spirit will never truly depart. live He lives on in the laughter we share….In the kindness we extend to one another, and in the love that binds us together. Bill may be gone from our sight, but his melody will continue to play in the lives he touched.
Bill Johnson was one of the best men I have ever known. Though it is hard to part with someone so special, we find comfort in knowing that his legacy of love, friendship, and joy will remain with us, today and always.
You will be missed Fridrik….. But your spirit will forever be a part of us…..And me.
Thank you for the song you sang all of your remarkable life…...And for the beautiful friendship and love you gave so freely.
Brother in Law to Bill,
Mark

Bill was such a gentleman and a gentle man. We volunteered together for several years on the Finance Committee at Bells Corners United Church. He was a calm, kind, organized but fun-loving Chair of the committee.
Condolences to his family at the loss of this fine man. May he be at peace and back with his beloved daughter, Emma.

Thank you for being such a loving and supportive uncle throughout my life, Uncle Bill. I will always be grateful for the many happy memories we made around the world, from Austria to Australia. I have always admired you and will deeply miss many things, especially our conversations over coffee and your wonderful sense of humour. Thank you for leading by example and showing us all how to be kind, intelligent, humble, courageous, curious, and dedicated to family. The world was better with you in it. We love you very much. Thank you for everything. ❤️

It has been an honour to be associated with Bill for more than 40 years as an active volunteer at Bells Corners United Church. For 17 of those years he chaired our Finance Committee and brought much calm wisdom to deliberations over management of church resources. He was a devoted family man as well as a cheerful steward of the church finances. Our sympathy to his family at this time. Bob & Ellen Boynton
