Obituary of Janet Beatrice Palmer (nee Wills)

Janet was born 19 September 1956 in Montreal and passed away on 19 July 2024 in Ottawa after a very brief battle with cancer. Predeceased by parents, Dr. William J. Wills and Mrs. Charlotte (Godby) Wills of Ottawa, and brother Robert W. Wills of Scarborough.  Loving mother of Kat Rose Palmer (Chris Adams) of New Westminster, BC.  Survived by her loving sister Barbara (Paul Armstrong) and brother James Wills (Heather) of Ottawa. Lovingly remembered by Richard Tetrault of Ottawa. Fondly remembered by many friends and employees of the Westwood Retirement Residence of Ottawa, Lyon Palmer of Rockland, nephew and niece, and many friends that she made wherever she went. Janet loved bingo and music by Kenny Rogers and The Irish Rovers. The musical film The Sound of Music had a special place in her heart.  To all her friends and family, Janet bids you “So long, farewell, auf Weidersehen, goodbye.”

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Pinecrest Visitation Centre, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa on Tuesday July 23, 2024 from 11am to 12:30pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ottawa Humane Society would be appreciated.
