Obituary of Ronald Stone

Retired Firefighter, Nepean Fire Department

After a blessed life of 85 years, Ron ("Ronnie") passed away peacefully on July 4, 2024.  He is predeceased by his much beloved wife, Marjorie (nee Mohr) and is survived by his children, Jeff and Jennifer (Mike, favourite son-in-law).  Awesome Poppa to Morgan (Aaron).

Ron was born in Ottawa in 1939 to Lloyd and Jean (nee Godbold) and is survived by his loving sister Connie Costello and little brother Michael (Corrie). Ronnie was well loved and respected by all his nieces and nephews and their families.

Ron (and his laugh) will be well remembered by numerous friends (including his fellow Nepean firefighters), neighbours and extended family.

Thank you to Ron's Valley Stream family, both the staff and residents, who cared dearly for Ron these last two years.  Thank you also to Sue R for being as determined as dad.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Pinecrest Visitation Centre, 2500 Baseline Road.
