Obituary of Barbara (Barb) Ellen Deschamps

Barbara Ellen Deschamps, age 85, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2024. Known by all as Barb, she lived and worked in Ottawa, Ontario, for the Federal Government. She met and married Rene Deschamps in 1963, and they welcomed their daughter, Wendy, in 1964.

Barb was an avid reader, crossword-puzzler extraordinaire, a valued member of any trivia team, and an ongoing member of the Mall Walking Club in Kanata. She was much loved by her family: as Wife to Rene, Mom to Wendy (Howard), Sister to Vicky, Granny to Jesse and Holly (Chiao), Aunt to Steph and Chris.

The family would like to thank Dr. Chen and the wonderful nurses for the excellent and compassionate care received at the West End Villa. The family will hold a memorial service on Friday, March 15, from 1pm - 3pm at Pinecrest Remembrance Services at 2500 Baseline Road.
