Sincere condolences to the Menard family. I was lucky to spend time playing with Dennis in the Carleton Place pool leagues. Great pool player with a great sense of humor! I loved hearing his mail carrier stories! He would have us crying we were laughing so hard! He will most certainly be missed. RIP Dennis.

My condolences to Denis' family. Denis always brought a smile to my day, waving as he passed me on the road, a smile and kind word when he dropped packages to the front door. A wonderful chat here and there about how much he loved his job and how his wife wanted him to retire. He took extra time to stop and see how I was doing when my husband passed away. He was a wonderful and considerate man.

Often times nowadays we don't know our mail carriers, well that wasn't the case with Denis. He was such a kind man, who had a quick wit.
I often heard the mail truck coming before I could see it and with one glance, there would be Denis, who was quick to toot the horn, smile and give a big wave. Several years ago, he saw me struggling with my camping trailer and he pulled in the driveway and literally lent me a hand...and a couple smart a$$ comments. He will be missed. My condolences to his entire family and Canada Post family. May he rest in peace!!!

I had the great fortune to work with Denis beginning in 1967. He was a great guy who took the time to "show me the ropes" at Canada Post. He and his wife Dolly were even generous enough to become my landlords and offer me a room in their home for a couple of years. An unforgettable gesture at a crucial time in my life. I will always remember Denis as an incredible husband, father, family man and friend. My deepest sympathies to the Menard family and their friends. Rest in peace "Elvis" !

Have to go back to the early 70s when I knew Denis and Dolly from our days in Fleet. Even after all the passing years, they remain as one of the nicest people I have ever met. I am so sorry to hear about Denis's passing and my sincerest condolences to Dolly, Bob, family and friends. He made a difference.

'Salt of the Earth' is how I thought of Denis. You could spend an hour chatting with him and it would seem like 5 minutes. I will miss his banner and his kindness.

Denis Jr and family, your Dad was such a bright spot for me during my time at the depot. He was sweet and caring, lent me an ear and gave sound guidance every time I needed it.
During my visits back to CP I looked forward to our chats at the end of my Mom's driveway and him catching me up on the depot gossip.
I’m so sorry for this tremendous loss for your family and for those who knew him.
