Obituary of Najla Ziade

Najla Ziade passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, December 30, 2023. Born in Lebanon on September 22, 1940 to the late Afife Rizk and Salim El Adem. Beloved wife to the late Antoine ZiadeNajla was a proud mother to Joceline Ziade, Pauline El Choufi (late John El-Choufi), Joseph Ziade, Robert Ziade (Maggie Ziade). She was an incredible and loving grandmother to Katherine, Christine, Micheline, Jean Pierre, Caroline, Justin, Ashley, Maya, Antoine, and Lucas. Sweetest great grandmother to Elena, Kheny, Zion, Eleora, Emma, Noah, Enzo and Zara. Najla is predeceased by her brother Joseph El Adem (late Nohad El Adem), sister Jeanette Minassian (late Albert Minassian). She will be fondly remembered by her sister Souad Sakr (late husband Bechara Sakr), sister Dominique El Adem and her brother Habib El Adem.  She will be greatly missed by her many friends, cousins, nephews, and nieces. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, January 5, 2024 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Saint Charbel Parish, Ottawa Maronite Catholic Church, 245 Donald Street, Ottawa. Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 am. Interment at Pinecrest Cemetery. For those wishing, in lieu of flowers in memoriam, donations to St. Charbel Parish would be appreciated.
