Obituary of Gerald Robert Anderson

ANDERSON, Gerald Robert (Bob)

11 March 1940 – 19 December 2023

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of Bob Anderson, 83, of Ottawa, Ontario. Loving husband to Deanna Anderson (nee Hebert).

Survived by his sons, Bruce (Debbie) in Hamilton and Rob (Tracey) in Ottawa. Very proud grandfather to Myles (Vanessa), Jamie (Stacey), Courtney (Giles), Emily, and Dynan. His great-grand children were the most cherished of all: Felicity, Arianna, Maisie, and Isabella. Pre-deceased by his parents, Philip and Georgina Anderson, sisters Helen and Phyllis, brother John, and great-grandson Cassian.

Bob was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Air Force for 20 years and then worked at Michelin Tires in Granton, NS until retirement. Born and raised in Stellarton, NS, he considered himself a true Bluenoser and never forgot his roots.

In keeping with the family’s wishes a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Bob will rest at the Pinecrest Cemetery in Ottawa.

The family would like to sincerely thank the Perley Health Centre Veterans unit for the care and compassion they provided to Bob over the past several months.
