Obituary of Michael Andrew MacLellan

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Michael Andrew MacLellan at the age of 66 at home with family on November 18,2023.  

Michael is survived by his devoted wife Michelle and loving son (& friend) Matthew of Kemptville, and siblings James Maclellan (wife Debra) and family of Calgary, Catherine Derick (MacLellan) and family of Ottawa, Joseph MacLellan (wife Ellen) and family of Rideau Ferry, and Susan MacLellan of Perth.  He was predeceased by his father Hugh MacLellan and mother Jean MacLellan both of Ottawa (originally from Halifax). He leaves behind a large extended family including many nieces and nephews.

Michael was born in Halifax on July 29th 1957.  As a "navy brat" he spent his younger years in various cities across the country, finally settling in Ottawa from High School on.  He met his wife, Michelle, of 32 years at his first full time job with Van Leeuwen Boomkamp.  For the last 3 years he worked at Russ Kennan Enterprises Inc.  Michael had a very strong work ethic and you often heard him say he would never retire!  He was a quick wit and had a very wry sense of humour.  He was all about family and had a keen love of music. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Friends are invited to Pinecrest Remembrance Services, 2500 Baseline Road, on Sunday, November 26, 2023 at 1 pm with a reception to follow.
