Obituary of Margaret Waite (nee McFadden)

Born Belfast, Northern Ireland, February 13, 1947, died 13th October 2023 at Carleton Lodge, Ottawa.

Beloved wife of the late David Waite; mother, sister, aunt, and friend. Margaret leaves behind her two daughters Jane and Laura, her sisters Jean and Helen, brother-in-law Ed, her niece Emma and her nephew Ben. Also, brother-in-law Ian Waite and wife Helen, and their family Naomi, Jonathon and Miriam.

Margaret was an artist, a reader, and an intellectual. Superlatively kind, intuitive, clever, and a true lady; Margaret touched people in her life with her gentleness, perceptive widom, and love. Hilariously funny, beautiful and elegant, and an irreplaceable loss to the world.

Deeply mourned by her family.
