Obituary of Helen Mae Murphy

It is with sadness we announce on Saturday, September 23, 2023, Helen Murphy passed away peacefully at Health Sciences North in Sudbury at the age of 93.

Helen was predeceased by her parents Norman Scott and Gladys and her husband Roger. Beloved mother of Kevin (MaryAnn) and the late Karen. Loving grandmother of Melissa Bouffard (Phil) and Jessica Recollet (Fabian) and great grandmother of Ella, Abbey, Bronson, Cameron. She will be missed by her brother Lorne Scott and her sister-in-law Donna (the late Edwin Scott) and the late Charlie Scott (the late Erma). 

Helen was always an exceptionally hard worker. Working full-time managing the Laurentian Towers Hotel, while raising Kevin and Karen, setting a wonderful example for her children and grandchildren.

She and Roger spent many years in Florida during their retirement and always looked forward to visits from her granddaughters. Her family was her pride and joy throughout her entire life and her unconditional love and support will be missed and remembered always.

The family would like to thank the staff at HSN in Sudbury for the exceptional care in her last weeks and a special thanks to Sue who cared for Mom/Grandma in a way that we will never fully be able to thank her for.
