Obituary of John (Jean) Charbonneau

John peacefully passed away on Friday, September 1, 2023, with his family by his side. Survived by his wife of 54 years Carol (Guilbault), son Jay (Lauren) and daughter Ashley, grandchildren Blair and Penelope, and siblings Richard, Louise and Suzanne. John is predeceased by his parents Edgar and Lilianne (Rousson), and sister Carmen. John will be remembered by his many friends and large extended family for his curious and generous nature, inspiring building talents and love of cooking, gardening and golf but above all, for his warmth and mischievous sense of humour. He will be forever in our hearts. John will be laid to rest at the Merivale Cemetery on Monday, September 11, 2023 at 1pm in a private family burial and Celebration of Life. Donations in John’s memory can be made to the Nepean Horticultural Society or Canadian Cancer Society. John’s family would like to particularly thank Dr. Jeremy Gardner for the uncommon kindness and exemplary care shown to John and Carol during John’s illness and passing.
