I wish to express my deep sadness and condolences to Brian’s family and friends.
Brian and I were first cousins. Our mother’s ‘Aunt' Doris and ‘Aunt' Judy created a a family culture by seeing each other often. We would drive to Petawawa or they would come to Ottawa … 2 sisters and 10 kids (11 once Jen came :))and Uncle Tommy and Uncle Harry! Our parents would set up the card game and the 10 of us would get to business rolling down grass hills in the night, spying on our parents through the stairs railings from the upstairs hall and never going to sleep when we were suppose to. Brian was the cousin just older than me. He was alway full of fun. He was good at setting up 'quiet games' when we had to 'settle down’. Brian was a kind, nice kid. I know he grew up to be that kind of man. I last saw Brian at my mom’s funeral. He came with his support, generous smile and wonderful laugh. His love was much appreciated and I will miss him.

It's with great sadness to hear of my cousin Brian's passing. The last time I seen him was at my aunts funeral. He literally pushed chairs out of the way to sit across from me, at the lunch. His smile & laughter just lit up the room. I feel so blessed to have known him. My condolences to all of his family & friends. Brian will be deeply missed. ❤️ love his Cousin Christine Sutcliffe (Hawes) & family

Brian was an amazing man, my older cousin and when as a little kids my mom would bring me and my younger brother up to visit from N.S, he was always nice to us even though I know we were pesky little kids. Later in life I ended up moving to Ottawa and I used to sell jewellery and I would set up at Centrepoint City of Ottawa where Brian happened to work. He would come by my table and see how I was doing and that wonderful laugh would make my day. Co workers of his I knew told me he was the most incredible public speaker. Just amazing is what they all said and that is not easy to do. To his sisters and brothers and to his children Michael, Keegan and Nicholas and grandson Preston, please accept our deepest condolenses on his passing. Your dad and grandpa was an incredible human. Love Nadine and Brent Fishman

To the Flynn family, extended family and friends,
We are so sorry for the precious loss of Brian. Though I did not know Brian personally, as I read all the condolences and memories I can sense what a wonderful man he was. Reading that he had a contagious laugh and was great fun I can't help to think about his uncle Jim (my dad), who sounds similar in personality. May you all find strength, peace and joy in the days ahead as you cherish your special memories of Brian. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Love from aunt Olga Hawes and John and Gina Mosher (Hawes).

My sincere condolences to the family on your recent loss.
Brian and I always shared a few laughs when he would need his parking validated at Laurier when he attended meetings. He would joke about the secret key that was needed in my desk drawer.
He would always take the time to have a quick chat before he left. Brian will be missed.

I first met Brian when he started at the Region back in the early 1990’s.
I’ll always remember that time - that infectious laugh which made you laugh with him.
Over the years we worked closely together and had great times both at work and at the Homes for the Aged golf tournaments.
Since his retirement and the onset of COVID, we kept in touch by playing cards online every Wednesday afternoon with his former colleagues. I will cherish those days and miss him dearly.
My sincere condolences to his family and friends. He was truly a great man and friend,

My sincere condolences to the Flynn family. Brian was such a lovely man, so full of life, so kind and caring. I will never forget the times we spent together either lamenting our inability to master the game of golf, bragging about our kids, or just shooting the breeze. I'm so glad he was in my life.
