Obituary of Robert "Bob" Turriff
VICE PRESIDENT AND GENERAL MANAGER OF CAMPBELL FORD
It is with profound sadness that the family of Bob Turriff announce his passing on July 15, 2023 at the age of 75. Bob entered into the presence of his Lord after a courageous battle with Leukemia.
Bob is survived by his loving wife Esther of 49 years, his beloved children James and Tricia Turriff and his sister LeeAnne (Dennis) LaForge. He will be fondly remembered by his nieces Holly (Mark) Sproule, Kylie LaForge as well as many other nieces, nephews, cousins and lifelong friends.
Bob retired June 30, 2023 after a 41 year career at Campbell Ford. He was well respected by those he worked with over the years and enjoyed working with his son Jamie 20 of the 41 years. Bob lived a full and happy life, he loved his Ottawa Senators and Ottawa Red Blacks, which was a passion he shared with his daughter Tricia.
Bob and Esther loved cruising and seeing the world together. They enjoyed winter vacations in Myrtle Beach and summers at his trailer at OVPC on Muskrat Lake, Cobden. Bob will always be known for his abiding faith, honour, humility, generosity and his kindness to others.
The family would to thank Dr. Sabloff and the nursing team at the Ottawa General Hospital for his care.
The family will receive friends at Bethel Pentecostal Church, 500 Viewmount Drive on Monday, July 24th, 2023 from 10:30 am until the time of the service at 12 noon. A reception will follow. A graveside service will be held at 3:30pm the same day at the Highland Park Cemetery, 2037 Mcgee Side Rd, Ottawa.
