Obituary of Edith Stanton

Passed peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at the Ottawa Civic Hospital at age 76  years. Edith (nee Kirkham) formally of Arnprior, Ontario and now of Carp, Ontario. Devoted wife of 54 years to Edward. Amazing and cherished mother of Debbie Romain (Bruce) and John (Karen). Loving Nana to Melissa Binnie (Callum), Alexander, Elizabeth, Johnny, Mackenzie and Ryan. Great Nana to Easton and Lily. Predeceased by her sister Lillian LaRocque. She will be sadly missed by her sisters Alice Picard and Alana Jette and her sisters and brothers in law Ken Stanton (Diane), Mary Stanton, Charles Stanton and Judi Linseman (Brian). Edith will be fondly remembered by her many nieces nephews and friends. A special thank you to the nurses at the Civic NACU for their compassionate care during this difficult time.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at Highland Park Chapel, 2037 McGee Side Road, Carp. Donations in Edie’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. Online condolences may be made at colefuneralservices.com.
