Obituary of Dorothy Brathwaite

It is with broken hearts that our family announces the passing of Dorothy Patricia Brathwaite on April 27th, 2023, at the Salvation Army Grace Manor. 

Dorothy was the ex-wife of Rudolph (Flash) Brathwaite, mother of Robert (Bobby) Brathwaite, sister of Jean Gittens (Barbados) and Judy St. Hill.

Predeceased by sisters, Marjorie Reid (Barbados) and Joyce Barrow (David) and brother, Neville St. Hill (Shirley), beloved aunt to Anthony Barrow and Alicia Nasser both of Ottawa, Merlyne, Jackie, Pam, Michelle and Michael (Barbados). A great aunt and great, great aunt to many.

Dorothy was very dedicated to her work as a nurse at the St. Vincent Hospital. She will always be remembered as a dear friend to many. She will be deeply missed by her family.

Our sincere thanks to management, Chaplain, and staff at the Salvation Army Grace Manor for their care and support of Dorothy during the last two years.

A visitation will take place on Thursday, May 18^th, from 5:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at Cole Funeral Services

The funeral service will take place at St. Stephen’s Anglican Church the following morning at 11:00a.m. followed by the burial and reception at Pinecrest Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army’s Grace Manor in memory of Dorothy would be greatly appreciated.
