Obituary of Thelma Evadne Carless Gravelle

Thelma Evadne Carless Gravelle, 81 years of age, passed away May 4, 2023 after a brave battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family as she peacefully departed to her final resting place.

Thelma was born March 20 1942 to the late Violet May and Hubert Carless, along with her 11 siblings in Spanish Town, Jamaica. She grew up with a strong sense of family values and a deep appreciation for hard work. Thelma carried these values with her throughout her life and passed them on to her children.  

Thelma is survived by her children, Errol, Donald (Lisa), Nathan and Carissa, her grandchildren Isiah (Isaac), Crystal-Lee, Stacy, Tyler, Sarah, Moneshah, Sherrol, Jayden and her great-granddaughter Elle. Thelma was a devoted mother and loving grandmother who worked tirelessly to provide for her family and give them the best possible life. She was always there for her family, offering guidance and support in all aspects of their lives.

In addition to her role as a loving mother and grandmother, Thelma was also a valued member of the Jamaican Community Association. She was known for her kind heart and willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Her warm smile and infectious laugh brightened the lives of all those around her, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Thelma's passing has left a void in the hearts of her family and friends, but they take comfort in the knowledge that she is now at peace. Her legacy of love, compassion, and hard work will live on through them and all those whose lives she touched.

Visitation will be held on Sunday May 14th from 4pm-7pm, followed by funeral services on Monday May 15th at 11:00am at the Pinecrest Cemetery. 

Thelma will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
