Please accept my condolences on the loss of Connie. I remember her from our days of involvement with City of Ottawa planning when she and others from Ryan Drive were helping to plan the future of the community. It was quite an active group with Allison Bowick, Barbara Lajeunesse and others all committed to having the neighbourhood be a great place to raise their families. Both Connie and Howard made important contributions to our community life.

Hi NAncy ,Jack and Jeff - the torch has been passed by a wonderful mom ,wife and friend to many . As you all know ,your mom was your Dads biggest fan and supporter ,generally behind the scenes ,but your father spoke so highly of her and what she meant in support, advice and his many successes . Her smile ,zest for life and love of her family were her trademarks.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you .
God Bless. Jim and ‘Sam’ Durrell

I am so sorry to hear of Connie's passing. She was a dear friend to me. I will miss her so much. I met her at art class over 20 years ago and we 'hit it off" instantly. At class she was very creative, open and encouraging to others and a very active member. And no one could forget her amazing shortbread which she would often bring to the class to share. She had a real presence and was one of the last of 'the real ladies'. She was a character and I admired her so much. Connie was always upbeat, funny, kind and thoughtful. Even when her health was not optimum, she would never complain. She would always say she was fine. It was obvious from her delightful stories that her family was everything to her. My condolences to all her family....she was one of the best.

I will forever remember this great woman. She always had a kind smile, a funny story, a piece of wisdom, and a helping hand even when both were full.
I am blessed to have had the opportunity to meet her.
