It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of our beloved mother, Jean, peacefully, in her 107th year.

Her memory will be cherished by her children Warren (Tanya), Bonnie McCauley and Lynn (Jamie). She was a loving grandmother to Jayson, Tammy, Jennifer, Karen, Mike, Ken, Jacob, Jonathan and Jesse and great grandmother to 15 beautiful children.
Jean was born in Ottawa and attended the High School of Commerce. She worked for the Public Service in many departments including the West Block and Public Works.
Her talents and creativity were endless: quilt making (she was one of the Happy Hookers); crocheting; making clothes; knitting; ceramics, furniture refinishing, you name it she could do it. She was an excellent cook and baker and made the world`s BEST strawberry shortcake and strawberry jam.
A woman of grace and class, no party was complete without Jean. She was everyone`s Granny and loved to celebrate any occasion with joy and enthusiasm. She loved camping, travelling, and gardening. Her longevity is testament to her love for life, her determination and her courage. She will be missed by all who knew her.
