I remember Bill fondly from the time we worked together at the National Search and Rescue Secretariat. We were a small agency within the DND portfolio, but one with a broad mandate and a great deal of autonomy. Bill worked quietly and diligently as our Senior Finance Officer over many years, ensuring our financial affairs were in order and contributing as a collaborative and wise member of the management team. Working with a broad range of stakeholders and partners and the need to deliver on key and urgent files, we were often under pressure to cut corners; Bill's integrity and commitment were without question and his financial leadership was extremely valuable to the agency. It was a privilege and a pleasure to work with BIll.
