Obituary of Margaret Mary Kruger

With love and respect, we remember our Mother, Margaret Kruger, who passed away at  84 on 9 March 2023.

Mom was an amazing woman: She taught us about family, about integrity, about love. She was always there for us, always ready to lend a helping hand or a sympathetic ear, and always had wisdom to share.

Born and raised on Allumette Island, Mom and her 9 brothers and sisters shared a remarkably close bond nurtured over years of family gatherings, weddings, golf tournaments, Thanksgiving weekends, and innumerable hours of intense games of euchre.

An avid golfer, keen gardener, and talented chef, Margaret found much of her greatest joy in bringing these interests together with her Grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. There was always a toasted tomato sandwich with tomatoes from her garden; always a large serving of delicious spaghetti; and, of course, a fresh coconut cream pie … with a cup of tea.

Margaret follows her husband Kevin and is survived by her children Debbie (Keith, Tasha, Melissa), Brian (Gita, Talia, Mia, Annika), and David (Mayumi, Mayako, Ayaka), and her partner Jean-Claude.

Family and friends are invited to join a remembrance service at 2 p.m. on 13 March 2023 followed by a reception.
