Obituary of Carrie Horton

Born in Tupperville, N.S.  Peacefully passed February 27, 2023 at age 95 in Ottawa.  Precious mother of Wanda, Karen (John), Dwayne (Bonnie), Kimberly (Kimmerly) and the late Wendy (Ben).  Adored Gramma of 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.  Dear sister of Pearl MacLellan. 

Predeceased by loving husband Owen, parents ElRoy and Lorna Bent, siblings Elroy, Beryl, Guy, Sheila and Eric. Carrie’s love of life will be fondly remembered by family and friends.  She will be dearly missed by all. 

The family thanks the staff of Carleton Lodge for Mom’s good care since March 2017.

We will honour her memory on Monday, May 29, 2023 with Visitation at 1:00 p.m. until the time of the Celebration of Life at 2:00 pm. at Pinecrest Visitation Centre, 2500 Baseline Road., Ottawa. Refreshment to  follow.
