Obituary of Ming Tsui

Ming Shiu Tsui passed away peacefully on February 23, 2023 at the age of 83 in Ottawa, Ontario.  Born in Hong Kong in 1939 as the 8th of 12 siblings, he came to Canada in 1967 enrolling at McGill University and then going on to become a certified accountant with a long successful and prosperous career.  Becoming a Canadian citizen in 1973 , he was also well versed in many languages including Cantonese, Mandarin, English and French.  He lived a fulfilling life as a husband, father, brother and friend.  He is survived by his wife, Choi Ling; children Raymond (Ida) Tsui, Henry (Jocelyn) Tsui; grandchildren Kylie and Kaitlyn; sisters Ivy, Wai sim, Wun Sim, Po Sim, Chee Sim; as well as beloved uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Ming lived a simple life without much fanfare.  But there was never doubt for his love and care of those around him.  He put the needs of those ahead of him and never wanted to burden people even as he battled living with Parkinson's disease.  He was a true gentleman who always welcomed whoever came into his home.  Often a man of few words, his impact on people's lives was felt through his demeanor, presence and actions.

At his request, there will only be a private family service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to Parkinson's Canada or The Glebe Centre in Ottawa.  His final resting place will be at Pinecrest Cemetery.
