Obituary of Elizabeth Judd

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of Elizabeth Jean Judd on Tuesday, February 7, 2023. Jean passed away peacefully at Westwood Retirement Residence in Ottawa at the age of 91. 

Jean was born in Belleville but as a child moved to Toronto, where she graduated from teacher’s college and worked for several years before marrying Donald Judd in 1957 and moving to Ottawa. Jean continued her teaching career in Ottawa and made several life-long friends during her time at Grant Public School. She was also active within the local Girl Guides organization.

Jean is survived by her husband Don, three children Robert (Cindy), Catherine (Ron), and Carolyn (Chris). Jean was also proud grandmother to Allyson and Erin Judd, Robyn and Jordan Loves and Brendan and Caitlin Bingham.

Jean will be remembered with a Memorial Service at Cole Funeral Services & Pinecrest Remembrance, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa, on Friday, February 17, 2023  at 1:30 p.m. A time of fellowship and refreshments will follow in the Pinecrest Solarium.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Queensway Carleton Hospital can be made. The family is grateful for the wonderful care that Jean received while at the hospital in recent months.
