Obituary of Gertruda Antonia Vervoort

Peacefully passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at age 92. Beloved wife of the late Marinus J. “Dick” Vervoort. Loving mother of Shirley (Frank Pranschke), Yvonne (Raymond Seguin), Wendy (Edward Klein), Michael (Charlene) Vervoort, Jeff (Dianne) Vervoort, Dave (Denise Charrois) Vervoort and Craig (Cindy) Vervoort. Proud Oma of 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Thieu and predeceased by siblings Gonnie, Sophie, Ria and Ton. Fondly remembered by nieces, nephews, extended family in Australia, Netherlands, the United States and Canada.

Trudy was devoted to her family and spiritually devoted to her faith.

Friends are invited to visit at Cole Funeral Services & Pinecrest Remembrance, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa on Wednesday, January 18th from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Leonard Parish, 5332 Long Island Road, Manotick, on Thursday, January 19 at 11 a.m., followed by interment at Pinecrest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, In Memoriam donations to the Red Cross or to any local food bank appreciated.
