Obituary of Kenneth Lamirande

“Ken the Barber”

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ken on Friday, October 14, 2022 in his 99^th year. Born in Ottawa, son of the late Georgina Quellete and the late Herman Lamirande. Ken was a loving husband of the late Betty Falls, caring brother of the late Tina Waito, proud father of Nancy (The late Caeser Karam) and Janet (Paul Goulet) devoted Grandfather of Lyndsay (Don Delong), Ryan (Dawn Boldizsar), Eric (Susan Goulet) and a doting great grandfather of Jacob and Noah Goulet. Loved by his many nieces and nephews, predeceased by many brothers in law and sisters in law.

At the age of 18, Ken enlisted in World War 2 where he served for four years in Europe. Upon his return he started his career in Barbering and retired 41 years later. Ken was a humble man who enjoyed family, friends & his love for music.

Family and friends are invited to visit at Cole Funeral Services, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa, on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. A Funeral Service will follow in the Pinecrest Remembrance Chapel at 11:00 a.m.  A time of fellowship and refreshments will follow.

The family wish to thank the staff at the Perley Health Community Care for their outstanding service over the past two years. To staff at the Ottawa General, your excellent care and kindness will never be forgotten.
