Oh how sad I feel that I was unable to attend Sids celebration of life! I want to say that it was an honour to work for Sid! I worked at Bradley’s Insurance for 18 years and I never wanted to miss a day! He was always interested in my family especially my dad! He was such a generous, caring kind gentleman! Sid taught me so so much & always had time to chat, listen & have a good laugh! Sending condolences to Ross, Corleen and all the Bradley family! I loved you Sid! Rest in peace

My condolences to the Bradley family. I was very fortunate to work at Bradley's Insurance and would see Sid every now and then in the office. Because of the interest he always took in getting to know the employees, when he found out I was born and raised in Pembroke, the conversation was always revolved around horses and Hector Clouthier. Rest in peace Sid, you will be missed.

My sincere condolences to the Bradley family. I worked at Bradley's Insurance and knew Sid through our office interactions. He was absolutely a people person.
As an example, we had a new employee that was with us a few months and they didn't have a name plaque on their door. Sid didn't think that was right and went out of his way to make sure the employee got a new name plaque ASAP. That was Sid, always very thoughtful.
Sid knew that I play tennis and every time he saw me he wanted to line up a tennis match. Right after saying that he would smile and move his shoulder and say that we will play as soon as he recovered from his sore shoulder. I think the shoulder never got better, we never played. :)
Rest in peace Sid, you will be missed!

When I think of Sid Bradley a smile comes to my face . He was smart , gregarious , kind , considerate , fun loving , intrepid , loyal , a raconteur without equal but best of all my friend . Sid Bradley loved life and loved being at the centre of the action . This really manifested itself in the horse racing game , a game that has its highs and lows but Sid always looked at the things in a positive way . He was the eternal optimist , especially if he was driving in a race . He had more nerve than an "alley cat " . I fondly remember one time we were driving in a race and had the 7 and 8 hole respectively . We were long shots to say the least but Sid rolled right off the gate and made a dramatic charge for the lead . It did not work out for him or his horse and we both ended up at the back when the race was over , which by the way was where we were destined to be in that particular race anyway . In the paddock after the race I asked him why he tried for the lead when his horse was overmatched . Sid calmly said " Hec , I gave it a shot and got a call during the first quarter while you went to the back and never got a call . At least they knew I was in the race " . Sid was right on about that and then he gave that wonderful laugh of his saying there is always another race . That was Sid and you had to love him for his fortitude . He won many races but the best part of his wins was his smile in the winner's circle . Sid Bradley had a smile that was fit for Holly wood .
Furthermore , my friend Sid was also a very astute businessman who understood the nuances of the insurance business better than most .
Most sincere condolence to Ross and the rest of Sid's family . Your patriarch was ' one of a kind ' !!

Sending our deepest sympathy to Ross and the Bradley family. When I started working for Sid, I realized quickly that a family business consisted of 110% heart and soul. Sid shared his knowledge of more than just insurance. I swear he knew everyone around the country. So many stories and photos he shared with us. Sid always kept up with what was going on in his employees' personal lives, even after he had retired. Rest in peace Sid. You were one of a kind.

What a great photo and obituary. I will miss Uncle Sid. He was a leader and did so much in the Stittsville community outside of Ottawa. He organized family reunions and was involved in St. Thomas Anglican Church and ran Bradley's Insurance with my cousin Ross Bradley, which was a business started by my Grandfather, Silas Bradley and my Grandmother, Mary Jane Argue. He was also a great story teller. God Bless and Rest in Peace and Thank You for your service to our family and community. Deepest Sympathy to my cousins Barbara, Chris, Ken, and Ross, and My Mother Beth and Aunt Grace and the extended Bradley family. He is now with his beloved daughter Mary Lou and his sister Helen Rivington and my Aunt Jean McCoy and his friend June Atkins, and many more. He touched many lives and will not be forgotten. ❤️❤️ Ellen Faulkner

Deepest sympathy to all of Sid’s family during this sad time of loss and the passing of the Bradley family Patriarch. Our hearts are with Sid’s children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and of course with Beth and Grace and their extended families, along with Helen Bradley Rivington’s extended family as well.
Sid was a kind, considerate, generous man with a huge heart of gold and an endearing sense of humor and was a respected icon of our Argue family, the Stittsville community and beyond. He had a magnetic personality and huge smile that he shared with so many, and his wonderful, entertaining presence will be greatly missed.
We are thankful for the many cherished moments with Sid that our hearts will long recall...
Condolences to all during this difficult time…
