Obituary of Bruce Roberts Waters

It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Bruce Waters on September 11, 2022 at the age of 83.  He was the much-loved husband of Ruth, proud and loving father of Kathy (Matteo), Jeff (Angie), loved grandfather of Alex, brother of Anna Tocco and brother in-law of Frank and Krystyna Smith. 

Bruce grew up in the small mining town of Matachewan, Northern Ontario where, at the young age of 9, he guided tourists to the best fishing spots in the area. He graduated from RMC and continued service with the RCAF and the Canadian Government. Bruce was always passionate about helping others and channeled that passion through his volunteer work over the years. Even with the diagnosis of Alzheimer’s in 2012, his desire to help others continued to the end of his life. We will miss him so much.

Bruce’s family would like to sincerely thank the wonderful compassionate staff at the Grace Manor, who cared for him so incredibly.

An informal drop-in Celebration of Life will occur at the family’s home Thursday afternoon, September 29, from 2 to 4 p.m.  For anyone who would like to attend but do not have the family’s contact information, please contact kwaters_1999@yahoo.com
