Obituary of Geoffrey Carter

Geoff was a beloved husband and father. He met his wife Shirley – whom he always called “Choo" – while traveling on the train daily from the South of England to London. Geoff endured a number of health issues with grace and perseverance. Thanks to Shirley’s support and his fighting spirit, we were fortunate to have him in our lives longer than anticipated.

Family was of utmost importance to Geoff. He supported Shirley in all her pursuits and cheered on his children and grandchildren at their countless sporting events. Time with family and friends was enjoyed at the cottage and while on regular trips home to England.

Geoff is survived by Shirley, his wife of 58 years, their two children Sally (Tom) and Philip (Christine) and two grandchildren Kayla and Kyle (Jasmine).

A private funeral service will be held on September 11, 2022, at 2 pm. Those who wish to join the family virtually may do so using the service link Service Link.    In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Parkinson Canada would be appreciated.
