Obituary of Sophia Ann (Hudy) Kosowan
1953-2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ann Kosowan on July 6th 2022, at the age of 69. Beloved wife and best friend of Garry Kosowan, dear mother to Michael (Samantha) and Amy (Rory) and proud grandmother of Ava. Predeceased by her parents Andrew and Hilda Hudy and younger brother, John. Sister of Steven (Sandra) of Fort McMurray, AB, Janet of Kanata, ON, Eric (Estée) of Whitby, ON, and Paul (Lee-Ann) of Arnprior, ON. Niece of Teresa Steele of Syracuse, NY. Beloved aunt to Alissa (Nick), Kyle, and Craig (Paige). She will be missed by her brother-in-law Clayton Kosowan (Francine) and sister-in-law Beverley Bell.
Ann has touched many hearts and will be missed greatly by her friends. She lives on in the memory of her many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Special thank you to Carolyn Roberts for her comfort and compassion during her difficult fight with cancer. Ann attended Sir John A. Macdonald High School. She was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion - Westboro Branch 480.
She worked for many years at Bell-Northern Research, until it eventually became Nortel, at the Carling Campus. She was an active and avid dart player, bowler and volunteer in the community. She enjoyed playing softball, broomball, gardening and reading. She was a wonderful mother and such a proud grandmother. Her kind nature and presence will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
Friends may attend Pinecrest Remembrance Services, 2500 Baseline Road on Tuesday, July 19th 2022 at 11:00 am for a service. To be followed by a Celebration of her life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
