Obituary of Gary Bylo

Gary Louis Bylo

On June 25, 2022 at 3:28 a.m., Gary was released from the chains of ALS that had overtaken his life for the last 2 and half years. During this period, he was able to celebrate his 70th birthday.

In dignity, he was able to stay at home through this ordeal and peacefully ended his hours in his own bed.

He will be lovingly remembered by his spouse Peter, his mother Frances, his two sisters, Lynne and Betty-Ann, and two brothers, Gordon and Brian, and all of the members their families.

Gary touched the lives of all who met him and he was always ready to provide them with advice to help better their lives. His greatest passion was planning trips and then setting off and exploring the world; which he did up until it was no longer possible because of the pandemic restrictions.

A big thank you to the numerous people in the medical community that provided help to Gary through all of the stages of this disease.

A cremation has already taken place. In the Fall of 2022, a memorial service will be planned, after which his ashes will be interred in a plot close to his beloved father Louis.  Friends and family will be notified in advance about these plans and will be welcome to attend.

In lieu of flowers, donations should be directed towards charities of your choice that support patients with ALS.
