It is with great sadness and an empty place in my heart that I share the passing of my best friend and life partner. Father, cherished son, loving brother, caring uncle and a very good friend to so many. Sadly predeceased by his sister Linda. Survived by his loving wife Katherine of over 50 years, daughter Patricia and 3 wonderful grandsons (Jacob, Zachary and Sam), parents Barb & John Rog, sister Ingrid (Steve) of Ottawa, brothers Michael Rog and Andrew Rog of Toronto, sisters in law Heather Lillico (Michael) of Ottawa, Kim Lajeunesse (Peter) of Carleton Place, Dona Hare of Rocky Mountain House AB and his beloved fur baby, Sydney.. After a very determined battle Ron finally succumbed to his illness January 20, 2022. He will be sadly missed by all of us, without exception all of his many nieces and nephews and their families.
To quote Ron's favorite artist Cat Stevens, although "only dancing on this earth for a short while" he managed to touch many lives.
A private family service will be held for Ron and a larger celebration of his life will be shared at a later date.
Many thanks to the staff at the Civic in A2 for their compassionate care and a special thank you to a wonderful friend, Weldon Taylor who was a great comfort to Ron in his final days.
Ron, wherever your travels take you next, may it be in a fast classic car of your choice with great tunes cranked and a cold beverage waiting at the journey's end for you.
