Our sympathies, John to you and your family from Anne and Dick. Our memories also go back to Cedarhill golf and Navy curling club. Lots of fun times. One memory in particular, when I look out into our garden and see the picnic table that Ron built many years ago and going to your house, seeing it on your front lawn and wondering how in the world we would get it home! After nearly thirty years it is still in use. I am sure also you have lots of good memories and many friends to help you at this time. Anne

That smiling face of Bev G. brought back many memories of my time at Carleton U’s School of Social Work, and Bev‘s amazing kindness and support of me, and my new role as Assistant to the Director. It was a joy to work with her as she guided and supported me in this new challenge. Bev would calm me, make a cuppa, and get me laughing at some of the absurdities of this “fresh off the boat” English woman trying to learn the ropes of Canadian academic life, and the challenges of working with such a varied group of academics, with their different philosophies, and personalities. Bev enabled me to learn safely, and I so valued her kindness, and professionalism., and her sense of fun…….
I know that her family will have very many wonderful memories of such a caring, compassionate, and loving person. May those memories support and comfort you all in the days ahead. Jane Tudor

My sincere condolences to John and the family on the passing of Bev. I first met Bev in the 1970s at the Navy curling club and we played many many curling games together over the years. We also travelled to the senior Provincial championships together in 2001 .Bev was full of life and always enjoyed whatever she was doing. I also enjoyed several golf games with her at Cedarhill and learned a lot from her about the game of golf and her great attitude about the game. My thoughts are with you.

My condolences to John and the family. I knew Bev as a fellow member at Cedarhill. Bev not only played the game of golf well and was always good competition (we were paired against each other often in club championships and as team members in the intersectionals) but she also contributed her time and efforts into helping other members enjoy the experience at the club. She will be missed. May she rest in peace.
