Obituary of Edith Wright

Edith Doreen Wright (nee Humphrey)

After a short illness, Edith passed away peacefully in Ottawa at 94. She had immigrated to Canada from England in 1953. Loving daughter of the late Albert and Edith (Bruce) Humphrey, she was predeceased by her husband Robert (2019), siblings Alice Proud, Norman, and Albert Humphrey. She is survived by her sister Ruth Gledson, her three sons; Colin (Kathie), David (Heather), and Allen (Kathy), grandchildren; Shawn, Eryn (Nic), Kristofor (Natalie), and Vicki (Ian), as well as great- grandchildren; Charlie, Bowie, and Fraser.

Edith was a proud army veteran, long-time volunteer, and loving sister, wife, mother, cousin and aunt to her extended family throughout the world.
