Obituary of Michael Galley

Michael Keith Galley, 79, of Kanata / Ottawa, passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 22^nd, 2021. He will be very deeply missed. Michael was born on April 28^th, 1941 to Gertrude Colbeck and Michael (Leo) Galley in Montreal, Quebec. In 1958 he met Gail Haymond and they wed in 1960, going on to have three children, Keith, Darla and Garry. Michael and his family lived on the South Shore of Montreal until moving to Ottawa in 1977. Michael was predeceased by his parents Gertrude and Michael. He is survived by his wife Gail; children Keith, Darla and Garry; daughters-in-law Terry-Lynn Galley and Lynn Fanset; grandchildren Amy Elliott; Shaylynn Galley; Kelsey Fanset;Wyatt Galley; Jessie Elliott and Blake Galley; great granddaughter Sadie Nelson; sister and brother-in-law Patricia and Perry Desjardins; and nephews Neil and Mark Desjardins.There will be no formal Funeral Services. A private family gathering will be held for Michael’s interment at Highland Park Cemetery, Carp, Ontario. For those who wish, memorials may be made to the Ottawa Humane Society.
