Obituary of Gene Baird

Passed away in her 90^th year on Monday, May 22, 2017 at St. Patrick’s Home surrounded by her loving family.  Beloved and adored wife of the Reverend Canon Leonard J. Baird for close to 69 years.  Born in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Gene was the daughter of Dr. Marston Adams and Annie Elizabeth Adams (nee Merry) of Magog, Quebec.  In 1948 Gene graduated with a B.A. from Bishop’s University in Lennoxville.  Gene was the loving, devoted and much cherished mother of Elizabeth-Anne (Gary), Michael (Ann), Stephen (Diana) and Angela; grandmother of Jennifer, Alexa (Ben), and Amanda, and great-grandmother of Joshua and Ashley.  The family wishes to express our appreciation to the staff of Carlow House at St. Patrick’s Home for their excellent care of Gene during the last year.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to St. Patrick’s Home of Ottawa Foundation would be greatly appreciated by Gene’s family.  A private family cemetery service will be held at a later date.
