Obituary of Gordon Frederick Francis Noble

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Gordon Frederick Francis Noble on Friday, July 10, 2020 at home at the age of 87. Beloved husband to his late wife Marilyn of 52 years, and fiancé Sally of six years. Loving father of Walter (Tina) and Deborah (Rui), proud grandfather of Carlos, Sofia, Teresa, Corey and Holly. Born in Toronto in 1932, Gordon grew up in Goderich, Ontario. After high school he pursued his post-secondary studies at Victoria College at the University of Toronto where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. His career spanned over 35 years starting at the Phillips Electronics Company in the 1950's. In the 1960's and 1970's he worked in leadership roles at the Canadian Film Institute and the National Film Board of Canada. In 1978, he continued working in senior management at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation until his retirement in 1990. He enjoyed 30 years of retirement with family and friends by spending summers at the cottage on Devil Lake near Westport, Ontario and winters in Englewood, Florida. A private family service, led by Rev. Ernie Cox, is being held at Pinecrest Remembrance Chapel. A celebration of Gordon's life will be shared through the creation of a short documentary film to be released at a future date.
