I remember my cousin Joy as fun, laughing easily and often. I remember she did my hair for my High School graduation, listened to my aspirations for the future and set her mind to advancing her own. Joy gave the best of herself to those she cared about, to her Mom and Dad, to her children , to her life partners, without giving up the spark that made her so unique.

We had many a laugh throughout our friendship. Joy was my favourite boss and had a few adventures along the way. I was fortunate to have known her. You will be greatly missed.

Joy was such a major force in our neighbourhood. She was kind and engaged with everyone. When walking down the street she was usually out on her front porch ready to participate in a discussion about anything and everything. I don't think there is a person in the neighbourhood who did not know Joy. I will be feeding the birds for you Joy.

Very sorry to hear of Joy's passing. Her vigor, confidence, and her belief of never being afraid to speak up are traits I respected and appreciated. It was nice getting to know her.

Sincere condolences to family and friends of Joy McNally. We knew Joy from way back on the Ridge, and still remember the day that she and John pulled in to the neighbourhood in their white Cadillacs! Joy was a good friend and neighbour who gave lots of time and energy to her community. She will be dearly missed. May you rest in peace, Joy.

My condolences to the family for the loss of this special lady. She would call me to remind me to book my window cleaning appointment . She was a great sales person always suggesting to book well ahead of busy times. Always being sure as a customer things went well. She was very proud to tell me about her son and his business. She will be missed. Thought and prayers to all of the family.

I am so sorry for your family's loss. I knew Joy for many years as a work colleague and a fried. She was a dedicated worker but also feisty and pragmatic . She had a sense of humor. and adventure and enjoyed a good time. My recollection above all was that family was always important to her. It is sad to thin of her final struggle - but having known Joy , she would have, as Kellie-Anne notes fought it all the way. May she rest in peace.

My sincere condolences to Joys Family at this very difficult time. Nothing ever prepares us for when we hear the sad news of a friends passing....but we draw on the conversations and laughs shared over the years to help just a little. Many a chat about Family, gardening and tips and even way back in the day, we would have a smoke and hide our evidence so neither one of us would be caught....you were a tough “Cookie” with real soft edges Joy.....now you Rest In Peace!
