Obituary of Dick Morrison

Passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at the age of 92.  He is predeceased by his loving wife Nan (Leathem) and his granddaughter Laurieanne (Burke).  He leaves his daughters Laurie (Demetrius Georgaras) and Margaret (Eric Montague). Grandchildren Thomas, Duncan, Katrina, and Zoe, Great Granddaughter Ellie, and special friend Cathy Potter.

He also leaves nieces and nephews that were blood relations and even more nieces and nephews that became family upon his move to Canada where he and Nan made lifelong friendships amongst the many Scottish families they gravitated to when they settled in Ottawa.

He leaves behind numerous true good friends! Friends  that he met through good, good times in Britannia/Bayshore days and friends he made through   his work as a Machinist in the Victoria Foundry, LMV, and finally at General Grinding  his own beloved machine shop where he had the best partners a person could ever hope to have.  

A Memorial service for Dick will be held  at Riverside United Church, 3191 Riverside Drive, Ottawa on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at  11:00 a.m.  A reception will follow. If you wish, instead of flowers, a donation in Dick's memory to the Ottawa Humane Society, or to a charity of your choice, would be welcome.
