Obituary of Isabel Salib Attia

His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’ Mathew 25:21 Isabel passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 6, 2020, after a struggle with various types of cancer and heart conditions. Isabel was the caring and loving wife for 25 years of late Dr. Amin Samaan. She is survived by daughter Dr. Nancy Samaan (Ottawa, Canada), son Dr. Nader Samaan (Washington state, US), grandchildren Joseph, Daniel in Canada , Nicole, and Sophia in US, brother Eid Attia in Toronto, Canada, son-in-law Emad Gad and daughter-in-law Marguerite Ichlemedjian. She is predeceased by her parents Salib and Liza, brothers Gabra, Albear, Samir, and Nabil, sisters Katherin and Fawzia She was born in Zagazig, Sharqia, Egypt, raised her family in Alexandria, Egypt where she worked as high school Physics teacher. She moved to Ottawa, Canada to live with her daughter family since 2002, spending winters with her son family in the US. She was active member in St. Mary Coptic orthdox church in Ottawa. A private family service will be held at St. Mary Coptic church in Ottawa, Canada. For those wishing, donations may be made to either the Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart Institute or St Mary Coptic church.
