Nellie Touzalin "Nanny"

Obituary of Nellie May Touzalin "Nanny"

April 9, 1945 - April 19, 2024

Born in Savanna-la-Mar, Westmoreland Jamaica to the late Estelle Campbell Scott and Altiman Touzalin. Loving mother of Veronica (Vero), Cherished Grandmother of Latona (Tanya) and Great-grandmother of Malakai (Mali). Gone before her are siblings Lanceford, Roxroy, Leanora, Sherley, and Ruby. She is survived by Carmen, Lolitta, “Son”, Rose, and Charmaine. Aunt to Mike & Pascale, Donna, Jackie, April, Richard, Charmaine (P), Aldred, Keisha, Julia, Trevor, Dalton, Lana, Janet, Delroy, Karleen, Patsy and many more.

She had a passion and heart for family at home and abroad. Moving to Canada for better opportunities, she worked tirelessly to ensure her family and loved ones around her were always well taken care of. Self-taught, she was an impeccable seamstress and a wonderful cook creating masterpieces without recipes. A consummate protector to her loved ones, she will undoubtedly be forever missed. As she has been called home unexpectedly, we are comforted to know that she is in a peaceful place where there is no more pain and suffering.

Going home service will take place on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at 10:00 am (Doors open at 9:30 am). Service will be held at the Pinecrest Remembrance Chapel, 2500 Baseline Road. Interment to follow.
