Obituary of Roger Asselin

July, 14 1960 - November 9, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Roger Asselin, an extraordinary man who was deeply loved and will be forever missed. Roger passed away peacefully at home on November 9, 2025, at the age of 65, surrounded by his devoted family and dear friends. Roger will be remembered for his strength, kindness, and unwavering love for those around him. He faced every challenge with grace and courage, inspiring all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife Francine, his children Marquis (Caroline), Camille (Ruben), Grandchildren Indy, Jade, Olivia, Sophie and Brayden and many family members and friends who will hold him close in their hearts forever.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to all who provided exceptional care and support throughout his journey - the Neurology Team at The Ottawa Civic Hospital, the Oncology Department at The General Hospital, the AtHome Care team, Bayshore Health PSW, St. Elizabeth nurses, and his palliative care doctor. Their compassion and dedication brought comfort to both him and our family during this difficult time. He leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and unforgettable memories.
